We are a holistic, boutique family breeder passionate about bringing healthy, top quality, low/non-shedding, in many cases hypoallergenic, doodles from our family to yours! We are living the dream of creating strong doodle bloodlines, bettering these hybrid standards by selecting the highest quality lads and lassies. We are passionate about sharing these wonderful companions with amazing families to spread the joy that these breeds have given us.
I established my first mentor relationship with an Old English Sheepdog Champion Show Dog Breeder over 40 years ago. After discovering the Goldendoodle, I mentored under my aunt, a Goldendoodle breeder for over a decade. In 2010 I began my journey toward my lifelong dream, breeding family companions.
When I was five I wanted to grow up and have puppies. I studied every dog breed in Encyclopedia Britannica, so I knew what puppies to pray for each night. I later learned that I had to have humans and am thrilled to share this breeding experience with my husband and daughters!
During my extensive career in the financial industry, dogs continued to be my passion and I was committed to utilizing all my years of apprenticeship with the champion show dog breeder when I had the time and resources to do give it my full attention. There were many times I thought to myself, “ I can swing one litter now” and knew that was not my vision. A motto I have always lived by is “if it’s worth doing, it is worth doing well.”
As a first-generation American, I was raised with a strong Celtic culture and an incredible love of dogs. My family dogs were an extension of that Celtic culture, with an Irish Setter, Standard Poodle, and an Old English Sheepdog, Tasha, who was my best friend from age six until she crossed the rainbow bridge when I was eighteen. Once out on my own, I continued to follow my Celtic culture with two Old English Sheepdog males, a Golden Retriever and Border Collie. The only drawback to Border Collie and the Golden retriever was their shedding! That is the beauty of a doodle! You can enjoy the best personality traits from wonderful breeds while improving the health of the dog and the family, in a home free of an abundance of dog hair!
We got our first Goldendoodle, a male, in 2008. Miller brought us so much joy that we got a female Goldendoodle, Bailey, in 2010. We would bring them everywhere with us, on boat trips, RV trips, in the pool, in the car, wherever we would go, they would come along! They are so smart, loyal, and good-natured. I feel compelled to share this magic with more families because they are good for the soul! Once we brought Bailey home, the wheels were set in motion from a lifetime of careful research and planning to build out CelticDoods. We began breeding only for family, then expanded to friends. We bred such amazing puppies that we began to offer our puppies to an expanding network of people. We have now started to offer them to individuals and families across the U.S. We still handle one litter at a time, and the value in this shines through in the puppy you bring home at eight weeks old. Our mission is to provide the highest quality doodles to excited forever homes that will be delighted with their new puppy and enjoy a lifetime of companionship.
